Founder & MD of Rejuv.co.uk
“I met Sarah Glover in 2005 on a bus crossing Uganda in Africa to meet our sponsored children through the charity, Compassion. Sarah and I have always shared the same heart of bringing hope, freedom and choices to the poor and marginalized. When Sarah founded Born to be Beautiful, it was an automatic desire to get involved and champion this wonderful charity. Training and supporting the women and mothers was a natural fit with my business, Rejuv. My passion and vision for Born to be Beautiful is to not only train the women to gain a skill, but to also help them duplicate this skill and create a business through micro finance. We feel this is key to breaking generational poverty.”

“It is an absolute honor for Temple Spa to be able to partner with Born to be Beautiful as they empower and equip women on their journey to a better quality of life. As a brand we seek to improve the self-esteem and well-being of everyone we come into contact with and we love that this partnership enables us to reach beyond our usual means. Born to be Beautiful does an amazing job of restoring dignity and hope to young women around the world and we are delighted we can be a part of that.”
“You sound as though you have wonderful philanthropic plans for the future and I am thrilled for you and the blessed girls who will benefit from your amazing talent and generosity, and please let me know if you need products or we can do anything to support. You have a special place in my heart”.

Cambridge-based charity Afrinspire supports organisations, including Born to be Beautiful, which work to equip individuals with the skills needed to start their own small business. These organisations often target highly vulnerable young people, who perhaps lack an education or live in extremely challenging situations. In 2018, Sarah ran a two-week beauticians course in Mbale, Uganda, which was hosted by Afrinspire partner, Miken Artists. A team of three trained 21 girls, providing them with manicure and pedicure kits. In the second week of the course, Miken Artists suggested that BTBB set up their own beauty parlour in one of the trader units. The parlour was officially launched the following January and it was reported that ten girls had already found places to work.
Weavers’ House Spa is a luxurious boutique spa in Suffolk, offering a whole host of treatments, facilities and food and drink options. We are hugely grateful to the spa for buying our equipment, and we were delighted when one of their therapists, Tash, volunteered with us in Uganda.
